Isn't it ironic that the things we take for granted are what we really wanted?

May 08, 2009 - Whoah! Two updates in two days. Granted the first "update" was more or less just saying, hey I can update this thing again. This is going to be more of the same really. I did though add a update or new 2009 perspective to most pages. I think this is kinda of a interesting thing to see how the internet was then in 2003 to what I'm writting on the internet now today in 2009. That's really all I got to say here for now. Check out the pages. There is a chance I may pick up the Dragon Warrior coverage/playthrough because I really liked how that was going, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Late.

May 07, 2009 - OMG well it definitely feels like this has been a long time since I updated. This page was originally created back in the day before youtube and back when a entertaining and engaging writing style were integral to making a strong webpage. Appropiate and meaningful pictures helped too. Seriously I invented the Let's Play here, I just didn't video record myself doing this and I used the written word instead of the spoken word. Just look at my "game coverages." It's basically just me playing through the entire game taking snapshots and trying to make witty comments. Anyways I wouldn't be opposed to trying to give this a go again, but with today's video world...I doubt this would have much interest. Anyways I exposed some of my hidden links that were never quite finished, but I might as well have them up. At least we have the Classic Game Room, AVGN and a host of other videogame reviewers/entertainers now. Well at least one of the main inspirtations for my webpage in my links. That's:
Polas' Good Time Retro Cafe. It's retired now, but still exists on the internet at least. There was another site called: The Temple of Fiends2, but that doesn't seem to exist on the internet anymore. Well see you on the Classic Game Room Forums and maybe I'll try to laughably put out an real actual update here regardless of the now long going easy flowing video age of the net.

March 09, 2003 - Wow it doesn't even really seem like it's been that long since I updated my site. I guess that's kind of a good thing since it means spring & summer are closer and that means no more shitty weather. Anyways hmm I really just been working a lot, so yea I guess that's why I haven't updated in awhile. Well I might work on that long overdue game coverage tommorow, but see I haven't even played that game much so yeah I'll have to play it as well too. Well if anyone is still around in the summer you can maybe expect more updates unless I'm constantly out partying or something hehe I really wish I was able to start this site a couple years ago when I had more free time, but then again I didn't have access to a computer often. It seems now it's the other way around, that sucks. Well hey if you are curious you can Click Here and check out my collection of old school games. Yes these are the ones I own cartridges of. I made a few comments about some of them and well my wish list is somewhat serious, but also full of just hillarious crap like Color a Dinosaur. Yes it's a nintendo game where you color dinosaurs! Geez it would be more fun to pay two bucks and buy a coloring book and use 64 colors instead of like five. Also keep a eye out for Donkey Kong Jr. Math hehe it's edutainment at its finest LOL cya

Welcome

This site was put on the net in December 2002 and was created by Al Mytko and is run by me only. Yep I'm a loner.
This site was made in the 1024x768 resolution, so it will look the best on computers also with that resolution.

Hey there and welcome to my castle! I hope you enjoy your stay here. The menu bar to the left covers the sections that I'll have on this site. This site is mainly going to be about old school videogaming, but I'll have a few other sections up. At one time I was planning on making this giant site covering all of my interests and tons of downloads, well then I realized I wanted other people to see this site and I didn't want to be just gawking at it. I also figured my videogame section would probably be the strongest so I chose to just work on it. I didn't want to completely adandon my other interests (primarily music) so I'm going to put up a section about that and who knows what else may pop up here.

One thing I'm trying to do with this page is I'd like to make it more fun than say informative. Yes I can list complete system histories or band biographies, but there are thousands of sites on the net that have done that already (some even rip that info off from each other) or have already done it far better than I could. So I tried to come up with some more unique stuff here and it's going to be a ongoing process. My design is pretty simple, but hey often times those sites that try to make it clear and easy to navigate around are the best sites. I guess that's just a nicer way to say my design is pretty weak, but hey I was just trying to make myself feel better about it. I've wasted far too much time fiddling with the design. You'll probably want to check by this site every so often and see what I've come up with or what I've been up to. I can't be the only person who sometimes gets bored. That is one of the reasons why I am making this site and it should hopefully relieve some boredom for me and maybe you too.

This site was made in the 1024x768 resolution, so it will look the best on computers also with that resolution. I viewed it in 800x600 and everything just looked really big. I also viewed it in 1152x864 and it looked alright though some alignment issues may occur with my pages. Tell me if you have any huge problems viewing my site at really high resolutions because I try not to mess around with my monitor too much. I'm cursed with those things, I've had three monitors or more go bad on me! Yes I actually lost count. This site should also be dial-up friendly. Yes everything should load up really fast even if you have a dial-up (like me). I also use IE 6 to view this site, I haven't been able to see how it looks with other browsers. Hopefully it looks generally alright.

Make your choice on the left now. Yes the interaction on this site is simply astounding!
